We came across this turtle as she was covering her eggs which she had just laid by our front garden.

This has been a great year for watching all the creatures we share this place with…We have a deer who just gave birth to twins who’s been feeding in the field across from our home, I saw my first hedge hog by our back deck, we’ve been watching the garter snakes in the garden sunning themselves and I don’t even know the names of all the species of birds which surround us and wake us in the morning:) We were watching the bald eagles soar over the lake the other day, saw a Peregrine falcon dive and catch a fish and had to shoo away some pileated woodpeckers so they stopped pecking @ my front deck:) It’s a great place to live!
